Was it a demonstration gone bad, or was it an actual coup attempt? Evidence is mounting. Is it time to enforce the 14th Amendment? How will all of this affect a new administration and their efforts to contain a pandemic and govern a deeply divided country? What are our responsibilities as citizens? The class will debate the future of the Republic and apply lessons from history. It is the most serious Civic lesson this country has faced since the Civil War. The next year may determine the fate of our democracy and our place in history. It is a future this class will have to live with.
